Abstract
There are several factors th at contribute to heterosis and heterosis can be expressed or recognized in many different forms. There is some confusion with the d e fin itio n o f the term h etero sis w ith some workers limiting it to only beneficial effects and others allowing the expression "negative heterosis" to describe performance below the average o f the parental performance.
