A system was developed to com pare bulls across countries. The system was tried on
Ayrshire bulls form the United States of America (USA) and Canada (C A N ). Best U near Unbiased Prediction (BLUP) anim al m odel bull proofs for milk from each bull's country o f evaluation w ere used. Th ese proofs w ere first deregressed and standardized within country o f evaluation. They w ere subsequently pooled across countries and analyzed by a linear m odel w hich included country of evaluation, genetic group, and bull effects. G enetic group and bull solutions w ere com bined to form the bull’s North A m erican proof (NAP). G enetic differences and genetic trends in bull populations w ere also estimated.
